Join us for a rally on the steps of our State Capital in Olympia on Monday, May 20th at 10 am to display the widespread support for the transportation funding package, Puget Sound Gateway Project, which will complete SR-167 and Hwy 509.
We are at a critical point moving into the State Legislature’s special session. Still on the table is a transportation funding package that would fund the Puget Sound Gateway Project.
The Puget Sound Gateway Project, developed by the Washington State Department of Transportation and key stakeholders does ensure that the region’s freight mobility needs, congestion relief, and emission reduction goals are met. As it stands, there is no better investment for the taxpayer than the completion of SR-167 and Hwy 509. No other project under consideration today will derive the same job creation numbers or economic development opportunities that the Puget Sound Gateway Project will.
It is vital you show your support for the transportation funding package; without it there is neither a complete SR-167 nor Hwy-509.
Make sure to RSVP and attend so our legislators continue to understand that it is essential they pass this package!
