Mini-Export Series: SME Exporters Panel Discussion
This Mini-export Seminar will feature a panel of a variety of small- to medium-size enterprise exporters telling of their journeys into international markets.
The discussion will be moderated by an export services veteran with decades with experience in markets around the world.

Stephanie Lollar, Co-Owner and Financial Officer, Lollar Guitars / Lollar Pickups
Lollar Pickups is considered one of the top boutique guitar pickup manufacturers in world.
Stephanie Lollar is an owner and the financial officer since it's inception in 1995 of Lollar Guitars Inc, dba Lollar Pickups.
Stephanie traveled the world selling pickups to customers on every continent and growing exports to approximately 30% of overall sales.
Lollar pickups for electric guitars, basses and steel guitars are not only sold all over the world,but are now sought after by the world’s top guitarists, guitar manufacturers, music stores and distributors.
James M. Murray, Managing Member, Gem Shavings, LLC
After several years as an independent consultant specializing in operations and financial management, Mr. Murray acquired a business the buys, processes, and sells sawmill residuals, mainly plank shavings. He has been the managing member of Gem Shavings, LLC since that time and continues to run the business, including handling exports to Asia and the Middle East.
Prior to acquiring Gem Shavings, James held a number of management positions in various industries, including timberland management, wholesale, and retail industrial supply, import and export, manufacturing, high tech medical equipment partnerships, and solid waste.
Perry Preston, Owner/Winemaker, Stina’s Cellars
As the owner and winemaker of Stina’s Cellars, Perry has not only successfully negotiated the red tape necessary to get product out of the US and into China, but has had his wine featured in the restaurants of China's Five-Star hotels alongside some the best wines in the world.
Since 1997 Perry Preston has been making wine since 1997. With help of his family, he operates the boutique winery out of Lakewood. Stina's Cellars now produces about 1,000 cases of wine a year, some of which have been exported to as far as China. Come hear how Perry owes his destiny as an award-winning winemaker to a bet that he made with his wife!

William Marshak, Moderator
William Marshak is a former United States Foreign Service Officer with a career spanning twenty-one years in the U.S. Foreign Commercial Service and assignments in Shanghai, Taiwan, Ho Chi Minh City, Chengdu, Hanoi and Tacoma. In that capacity he assisted U.S. companies enter and succeed in international markets, and worked to further U.S. business and commercial objectives abroad.
Prior to entering government service, Mr. Marshak pursued a career in international agriculture with Charoen Pokphand (CP Group) as general manager of their flagship poultry breeding operation in north China, and later, as Marketing Director for Asia for BETCO Inc., a manufacturer of agricultural buildings and animal husbandry systems.
