Jan 7 Solution Summit 2015-Washigton Policy's Center Statewide Policy Conference
The half-day conference will be attended by policymakers, elected officials, citizens and business leaders. This event is timed for maximum impact one week before the start of one of the most important legislative sessions in state history and will consist of a keynote breakfast and lunch with Gov. George Pataki, and breakout sessions in the morning, featuring over a dozen key local and national experts.

The Army is performing a series of nation-side listening sessions in every community (here: Jan. 21, time: 10:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, at The McGavick Conference Center, Clover Park Tech College in Lakewood) as a follow-on to its earlier environmental assessment for the 2020 Forces Realignment/Reduction. Community members have the opportunity to tell the Army about issues not covered in this year's SPEA process and the local business and personal impacts from any local forces reduction of military and civilian jobs.

Army opens Listening Session for local citizens to have their say about the impacts of an additional potential 11,000 civilian and soldier job cuts at JBLM.
The Army is asking citizens and communities for their appraisal of local impacts for a proposed reduction of an additional 11,000 civilian ad uniformed jobs at JBLM.
Plan to attend as numbers will count in demonstrating to the Army local support for JBLM.

The Board of Directors of the Bethel School District has selected essential building requirements for a capital bond issue to put before the voters in 2016. The presentation will cover the items in that bond proposal to include replacing most of Bethel High School, modernization of Cedarcrest Middle School construction of an additional elementary school and construction of a school - community swimming pool.
