Feb 16 Export-Import Bank Reception & Celebration
Thanks to the hard work of many business, government and community leaders – in Washington state and around the country – the Export Import Bank of the United States (EXIM Bank) was reauthorized by Congress as of December 4, 2015. This ensures that Washington exporters, large and small, once again have access to an essential source of trade financing, which is so important to the 40 percent of jobs in our state tied to international trade.
To celebrate this significant victory and to discuss the steps ahead to ensure long-term sustainability of the EXIM Bank, please join the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, the Washington Council on International Trade (WCIT) and the Trade Development Alliance of Greater Seattle (TDA) for a very special discussion and reception with Export-Import Bank Chairman Fred P. Hochberg and members of the Washington Congressional delegation.
Chairman Hochberg will share his thoughts on the opportunities and challenges ahead for the EXIM Bank, and how our state can continue to play an essential role moving forward. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet with Chairman Hochberg, fellow EXIM Bank users and supporters, and other local leaders. Food and drinks will be provided.
