SUMMARY:Military Affairs Forum
DESCRIPTION:We are reactivating the Tacoma Pierce County Chamber (TPCC) Military Affairs Forum (MAF) by beginning a new partnership with the South Sound Military & Communities Partnership (SSMCP). SSMCP serves as a regional resource convener and\, when desired\, a legislative advocate for local governments and the JBLM military community while promoting information sharing and regional collaboration. The regional partnership focuses on the intersection of local governments and the JBLM military community.\n\n \n\nThe April MAF kick-off meeting will feature SSMCP's Director\, Bill Adamson\, discussing the 2020 Regional Economic Impact Analysis of JBLM\, done in collaboration with UW Tacoma's Center for Business Analytics\, and an overview of the business leader's survey conducted at the same time. This presentation will detail how the economic benefits of JBLM are measured and communicated to the region. \n\n \n\nAt subsequent events\, members of the JBLM command team will speak about activities and initiatives from the installation perspective.
