DESCRIPTION:Come learn about how to make the most of your company brand\, and how to design products to better promote your business in the world with this small business workshop on branding\, merchandising\, and prototyping! \n\n\n\n \n\nPlease bring a laptop or tablet if you have one\, and any graphic design work you've had done for your business\, to discuss. \n\n \n\nRegister Here\n\n\n\n________________________________________\n\nWorkshop Instructor Bios:\n\n\n\nSteve Buchanan is a creative entrepreneur who partners with Tacoma businesses to connect their brand to their physical space using signage\, interior installations\, and unique customer experiences. Having almost 25 yrs. experience doing design in the branding\, signage\, and trade show industry\, he has honed a skill set and vision that fits well in Tacoma's culture. Steve is as passionate about Grit City as he about design and the most fulfilling part of this process is to see how his work is directly enriching the communities and businesses of Tacoma. Having participated in Spaceworks Incubator training programs\, he is now using those skills to go from a solo freelancer to a brick and mortar design studio and sign shop in downtown Tacoma\, called GoodDesign\, and host of this month's workshop.\n\n\n\nStella Kemper is an artist\, designer\, and makerspace enthusiast. They train youth and adults to use digital fabrication tools such as 3D printers and laser cutters to make cool things\, from design to finished product\, in their role as Makerspace and STEAM Specialist at Pierce College. Under Stella Bell Art\, they also create branded products\, items and activities for special events\, and commissioned pieces in collaboration with artists\, entrepreneurs\, and event planners. They are an alumni of the Spring 2016 Spaceworks Incubator training. Stella creates metal\, ceramic\, and mixed media sculpture in their extremely limited free time.
