About the Featured Speaker

Doug Burton, Director of Business Development - Composition Wealth

We are pleased to launch our first Roundtable discussion featuring Doug Burton, who appeared on the April 16, 2026 Chamber Podcast. Doug will share insights focused on marketing and business visibility, including strategies to enhance business exposure through targeted marketing support, promotional opportunities, and platforms that elevate brand presence throughout the South Sound.

Doug Burton is Director of Business Development at Composition Wealth, where he focuses on building relationships within the business community and connecting individuals and organizations with the firm’s planning and advisory services. He joined Composition Wealth in 2026 as part of the firm’s merger with Edgewater Wealth Management.

Prior to joining the firm, Doug was the Founder and Head Coach of VSG, a marketing technology agency based in Tacoma. Over more than two decades, he led the company in serving clients across the Pacific Northwest and internationally before the firm was acquired in 2023.

Doug graduated from Pacific Lutheran University, where he was a member of the university’s football program under coach Frosty Westering. He and his wife, Kristi, have been married for more than 30 years and have four children and two grandchildren. Doug is active in leadership mentoring and community initiatives, and also coaches leadership development for the PLU football program.
