West Side Wake Up is a quarterly business forum for west side businesses to convene, connect, and consider business issues relevant to the west side. It's a great networking opportunity specially designed for UP businesses and their neighbors!

-Featured Business Community Speaker Kent Keel.

BIO: Kent is midway through his third term on the University Place City Council. Kent ran for the UP city council to finally deliver the town center and position University Place as a regional and national destination for individuals, families and businesses to thrive. During his time on council, UP has completed its town center, hosted the world during the 2015 US Open and has attracted some of the most profitable and sought-after businesses.
Kent serves as the Chair of the Sound Transit Board of Directors where he leads the agency?s board as the agency delivers the largest public transportation capital project in the Nation. He also serves as the President of the Association of Washington Cities (AWC) which serves and represents all 281 cities and towns in the state of Washington. Before election to the UP Council, Kent served 10 years on the University Place School Board of Directors.
Kent earned a BS degree in Computer Information Systems and an MBA in Engineering Management. He and wife, Renee, will celebrate 40 years of marriage this year. They have four adult children and six grandchildren.
