Karisa Guess brings 12 years of experience in business development and marketing to her work at CPIN. Her skillset centers on community outreach and engagement, with a talent for connecting people to the resources and relationships that help them grow. As a Community Engagement Coordinator and Relationship Specialist, she works to build meaningful partnerships between small businesses, nonprofits, and the broader community.

Working with CPIN has allowed Karisa to continue developing lifelong skills focused on improving accessibility and resources for the community, with a particular passion for supporting youth and the people we all care about. Rooted deeply in the Tacoma area, she brings genuine, hands-on knowledge of the community she serves and a steady commitment to helping others succeed.

Angela Silva

Dr. Silva has spent over 22 years working with mission-driven organizations on educational and advocacy initiatives. As a Master Potentializer, she helps individuals and teams turn ideas into action. A community organizer at heart, she has a proven ability to rally people around a shared purpose and has revitalized local and regional nonprofit chapters.

She is a certified research administrator with 12 years of experience as a grant administrator and 4 years as a research project manager, supporting investigator-initiated work along with federal and philanthropic grants for research, programmatic, and community-based initiatives. Dr. Silva has authored and co-authored several publications on community-based research and her own independent research projects.

In 2020, she co-founded CPIN, where she now serves as Chief Executive Officer.
