In 1998 I graduated from the Art Institute of Seattle with an Associate of Art in Interior Design. After graduation, I worked for several design firms and opened my own Interior Design Business in 2005. While running my design business I started teaching design at Highline College where I went on to work full time and have been at the college for sixteen years. During that time I also completed my Bachelor's in Work Force Training and Masters' degrees in Art Education. My strengths to our team are my extensive design background, experience in owning a design business and management experience from running multiple design departments at Highline College.

Nicole Riso

I grew up in a small desert town on the Colorado River where there wasn't much exposure to art and culture but where I discovered that I would someday become a designer. It took some time and a move to western Washington but I always gravitated toward art, design and photography. After high school I managed a portrait studio and eventually discovered design and custom framing of fine art. In 2006 I graduated with honors with my degree in Visual Communications where I learned that behind every great design is a story. There is something so compelling about meeting a client who has an idea and collaborating with them to create their vision. I bring over 20 years of experience merging great design, quality craftsmanship, sales and business management to Tacoma Design Company.
